American Filter Systems Inc. and AATech Water have pleasure to inform  about their close cooperation in the  field of brine purification.

AFS Inc. / AATech offer both non pre-coat ePTFE Membrane filters and pre-coat type filters. Most brine qualities are suitable for membrane filtration however in some cases  pre-coat filtration might be a more economical solution.

Now  Brine made from salt with a very low Calcium content , (low Ca to Mg ratio) or with a high amount of insoluble matter can be filtered with ePTFE membrane filters in a very economical way.

The ePTFE membrane is acting as a permanent pre- coat and guarantees a sparkling clear brine. Clear brine is obtained instantaneously after each back wash cycle, without re-circulation.

AATech has a line of Brine Softeners and carbon filters for de-chlorination capable of handling even the largest brine streams.

Order for Brine Purification System.

AATech/AFS recently received a substantial order from K2 Pure Solutions for the design and delivery of a fully  automatic ePTFE Membrane -raw brine filter- system as well as for the brine softeners.

Both systems will be installed in the new K2 bleach plant on the DOW Chemical site  in Pittsburgh CA, near San Francisco.
